What Is Drywall Finishing?
Drywall finishing is everything that happens after the sheetrock is hung and before the paint goes on. In Texas a lot of people call it floating. It means taping every joint, covering screws and corner bead with joint compound, and building up thin coats that are sanded smooth between each pass. Done well, the seams and fasteners vanish and the walls look like one continuous surface. Why Is Drywall Finishing Necessary?
