What Is Wall Smoothing?
Wall smoothing is the process of turning textured walls into smooth ones. Instead of tearing out the drywall, the existing texture is knocked down where needed and then covered with skim coats of joint compound, sanded between passes until the wall is flat and even. The result looks like new drywall with a smooth finish, without the cost and mess of replacing the board. What Is Required For Wall Smoothing?

The surface is prepared, the skim coats are applied and sanded smooth, and then the walls are ready for primer and paint.
